Derick Sebastian will be at Island Legends in Torrance to teach an Intermediate / Advanced workshop. In this workshop, Derick will introduce a variety of `ukulele strumming and picking techniques. He will then show the class how to create their own sound and "free-style picking".

BEGINNING/INT/UKULELE Class Donation for course $72
All Levels Welcome
Randy Dacoscos will teach a beginning to intermediate ukulele class. Students do not need any prior music experience. Playing techniques will include both picking and strumming. Randy will teach a wide variety of ethnic songs including English, Hawaiian, Japanese, Chinese and Filipino. Students will also be exposed to Hula and the Hawaiian language and chants. Randy will provide the sheet music. Students will be required to bring their own ukuleles. For those students who do not have ukuleles, he will provide information on music stores and will arrange for a special discount with an ukulele seller where students could purchase a good ukulele for less than $60.

Yes, the zany, wacky, madcap, talented BILGEWATER RATS are going to infest ISLAND BAZAAR October 23 & 24. This fun, fun, fun trio specializes in uke (resonator and otherwise) and catchy novelty songs. We had a scouting group catch them at a concert in L.A. and we were completely blown away....and grabbed them to come to HB.
