So i've seen this video plenty of times, so I came across is again on youtube.

I never noticed the insturmental part at the beginning (not so much the first 7 seconds, but everything after that). Is it something Aldrine made up, or is it an actual song? If so, tabs?!?!?!?! :p

I thought it sounded familiar the first time I saw that UkeGotMail too.

My thought was that it sounded like the theme to TV show... but I couldn't think of which.

:rotfl:

I was right! It's from Doogie Howser MD!

hmmm... so by the sounds of it, I'm guessing that there aren't any uke tabs easily available?

seems easy enough tho.

it's a quickie based on what I hear from that vid so I don't know if it's right...

I think Aldrine is tuned down a half step.

Code:
G#--3-2-0h2--0----------------------------------
D#--0----------3/5\3---0h3----------------------
B---0-------------------------0h2/4\2-0-0h2/4\2-
F#--0-------------------------------------------

/=slide up
\=slide down
h=hammer on

does that look right? some of the hammer ons are just suggestions... depending on how it sounds on your uke, you may just want to pick those as well. I think Aldrine picks most of those hammer ons in that vid

it's just the first half... and the next half is pretty much a repeat of that first half minus the end few notes.
there's also a couple times in the first half where he holds a note and very lightly strums the top three strings right after (he might be muting the bottom string)... I don't know what to call that and how to tab it either, so I left it out.
I'm not sure if people understand my tab notations... I'm very new to this tab stuff, so I'm not confident that I'm doing it right.

and if you are looking for the beginning bit...
I don't have enough frets on the Sponge Bob Pineapple
that I'm using at the moment, but I'd guess...

Code:
G#--15-15-------15---
D#-------------------
B---------12-12----12
F#-------------------

I don't think I want to tab that all out...
just repeat those notes till it sounds right.

BTW, that Uke Got Mail episode (I can haz cheeseburger?) reminds me of a post I did for somepeople on another forum. they were lamenting the absence of In-N-Out's in their area so I ordered a Double-Double and went to my backyard and ate it for them...

This is what I got by ear and G scale. Too lazy to watch it over and double check if it's correct.
Oh and I don't care so much about how it's tuned.

Code:
A|-3-2-0-2--0------------------------------------------|
E|-0-----------3-3/5\3-0-3-----------------------------|
C|-0--------------------------0--2-2/4\2--0-0--2-2/4\2-|
G|-0---------------------------------------------------|

A|-3-2-0-0h2--0-------------------------------|
E|-0-------------3-3/5\3-0-3------------------|
C|-0----------------------------0-2-2/4\2-0-0-|
G|-0------------------------------------------|

edit: Double Double's are the bizzzznaaaaazzzzz

that looks decent... and if you wanted to concern yourself with tuning, tuning it a half step down would mmake it soung just like Aldrine's :D

ans yes, double doubles rock! although I don't normally eat double double's... it's too meaty and cheesy. I'd rather have two hamburgers than one double double.
