Hi,

I've just discovered my first musical instrument, my Uke :)

Just a cheapie, bought just 2 days ago. Just replaced the TERRIBLE strings with
some Aguila, and bought a Chromatic tuner, loads better already.

Already hooked, no going back now:)

Welcome to UU! !

Hey Tony! The uke was pretty much my first instrument, too (okay, first one I've played with any seriousness). The chromatic tuner was a great buy! Hang on while the strings settle - it can be a bit frustrating for a few days, but they'll get there.

Uke on! :shaka:

Thanks for the welcome, Looks like plenty of help, advice and chat to enjoy here.:)

Thanks for the offer Anna, I'll keep it in mind.

Have fun with that uke, you will get addicted real fast.

Hi Tony. :)

Loads of us Brits here! :D

Here's a welcome from yet another Brit - though I prefer to call myself English, out of respect for the Scots, Welsh, and Irish.;)

There seems to be a number of you Scousers taking up the uke. Time to think about forming a club, or an informal meeting in a pub, perhaps?

Ukantor. (Sod this stupid pseudonym - I'm going to use my real name).

John Colter.

Hi Tony,

Welcome to the best uke resource on the web! Not been here long myself, but got loads from the great people on here.

I'm not too far from you, I think I already said in another thread.

Just for your info, there IS a uke club, in Huyton, been myself a few times, and its pretty good.

Paul
