Hey all,

I would like to record video (or just audio) of myself playing ukulele for preservation's sake and so I can hear it while I'm not focusing on playing. May use it for entering UU contests when I get better.

Does anyone have suggestions for a setup under $200? I've read online that a cheap but decent setup can be had with a Kodak Zi8 with a Sony DS70P mic.

Any recommendations?

I just use my webcam on my laptop, if you've got a digital camera with video, that'll do just fine for Youtube. There is a free peace of software call audicty Sound Editor thats supposed to be quite a good program to deep your toes into sound editing http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ and of coures windows movie maker, that's if your not a Mac man. Hope this helps.

if you have rock band, then the usb mic that comes with it works great with your webcam. just go on youtube and go to record video from webcam and select the mic as the audio device.
