Venezuela Cuatro

hello guys i have just started playing the Venezuela Cuatro, and could not find much sites except for some youtube videos on how to learn to play it, i live in the caribbean islands and every christmas we play a type of music called parang music, i am trying to learn what we call the parang strum can someone help me with the strum please?how many times down and up etc....

i dont know a whole lot about the cuatro, but someone posted this link here a couple days ago, maybe it will help? in the comments on the youtube video you linked, someone said the strum he was playing was a gaita, and there are instructions here how to play a gaita strum, hopefully this helps!
