Don't Worry, Be Happy
Bobby McFerrin

C
Here is a little song I wrote
G
You might want to sing it note for note
F/C C F/C C F/C
Don't worry be happy
C
In every life we have some trouble
G
When you worry you make it double
F/C C F/C C F/C
Don't worry, be happy

C
Ain't got no place to lay your head
G
Somebody came and took your bed
F/C C F/C C F/C
Don't worry, be happy
C
The land lord say your rent is late
G
He may have to litigate
F/C C F/C C F/C
Don't worry, be happy

C
Ain't got no cash, ain't got no style
G
Ain't got not girl to make you smile
F/C C F/C C F/C
But don't worry be happy
C
Cause when you worry, your face will frown
G
And that will bring everybody down
F/C C F/C C F/C
So don't worry, be happy

C
There is this little song I wrote
G
I hope you learn it note for note
F/C C F/C C F/C
Don't worry, be happy; Listen to what I say
C
In your life expect some trouble
G
But when you worry, you make it double
F/C C F/C C F/C
Don't worry, be happy

Something like this

F C
don't worry, be happy

but the F chord should be over the "worry" and the C chord over the "happy" on the last line there.

Because "Don't Worry Be Happy" has no instrumentation at all...
It's just McFerrin singing all the parts as overdubs, if you can believe that!

His own website allows you to play the different parts individually, or together.
Check it out. Seems to me that this would be the perfect thing for someone
who is learning the tune.

I'm sure there's a good strumming pattern for it though. Best of luck!

As for a strumming pattern, try and experiment and play what sounds good for you... theres no real way to replicate what bobby mcferrin's sining, so what you play has got to be whatsounds good to you.

I use UDUX with a laid-back reggae feel. But, then again, look at my avatar...you may want to pick something completely different.
