Does anyone have any advice or pointers as to stopping the open strings ringing out so much and obscuring the fretted notes when playing this one?

I try to allow the open notes i hit work with me, I always had the same problem.....That dude is seriously good though!!!

This guy's hitting the strings pretty hard. My guess would be that he plays lighter size strings. Probably very bright/crisp sounding strings as well. All I can think of off the top of my head.

He has a pickup in that guitar so the sound is processed - you can't really tell what strings he has without asking him :nana:
