Thanks Heaps Kenikas!! I've decided to use PVA Wood Glue on recommendation of a fine wood specialist, for the crack repairs. I think this is going to be a slow process, but I'm in no hurry anyway. I think I might also get a the local guitar repair shop to replace a nut and re-glue the bridge. Once again thanks Kenikas! Very Helpful!
Aloha, I used (and wouldn't recommend any other on a vintage) hot hide glue. It's a bit of a pain to learn to use, but it's what most were originally built with. I'll send you a PM with some links and more info when I get to my computer (this iPhone's great but hard to type on!)
Hi, I've recently got a 1920's Kumalae Ukulele and noticed that you posted a thread about a year ago on repairs of it etc. I was just wondering how you fixed the cracks (with glues??) and the issues surrounding the bridge. Thanks, very much appreciated!!
