First, I'm not an Alabama fan (Roll Wave, Geaux Tigers).

But for those outside North America or who don't follow sports in general, Alabama won the college football national championship on Monday night. Their coach changed quarterbacks at halftime with Alabama trailing badly and it was a young freshman from Hawaii, Tua Tagovailoa, who first brought them back to tie in regulation and then won the game with a spectacular pass on the final play of overtime:

And it appears Tua has at least one possible fallback option if the football thing doesn't work out (doubtful).

Throws lefty, plays righty.

we were rooting for Georgia, but it was a great game!
what a comeback!
and the game-winning touchdown pass after a 12 yard, first down
quaterback sack... wow!

so good to see Hawaii players doing well at the collegiate level, and
a freshman to boot! High school player just last year! :)

keep uke'in',

Great game. Not a fan of Alabama football or Nick Saban, but I really like this Tua kid. And now I like him even more!

I have family that went to Georgia, family that went to Ga Tech, family that went to Auburn. NOBODY in the family went to Alabama.

But I'm feeling better now that I know he ukes! :music:
