I met up with my old sparring partner Ian Emmerson today, and he got his guitar out. We made a few videos, including this great old Hokum Boys song.

I performed at The Big House in the Country Uke Weekend in Cumbria a few days ago, along with loads of other great acts, and persuaded Dead Man's Uke and The Mersey Belles to join me for a number.

This is a favourite song of mine, recorded at The Trades Club in Hebden Bridge, where I was fortunate enough to be asked to support Del Rey and Adam Franklin on the last night of her UK tour.

So excited about this one! Del Rey is a music hero of mine, and not only did I get to jam with her at GNUF, I'm now supporting her. Rumour has it she'll be joined on stage by the fabulous Adam Franklin, too. Ticket link

Today I heard the very sad new that Marko had passed away at the young age of 45. Marko was half of 'Uke Box' with Shelley Rickey, and together they ran The Jumping Flea Market in Rotterdam. They were partners in life as well as in music. I had the pleasure of meeting Marko several times at uke...
