Wait, I don't get that. On reentrant, C#dim7 is 0101 which is G C# E Bb. Cm7b9 would be C Eb G Bb C#. The way I see it, the C#dim7 is a rootless C7b9 not Cm7b9. What am I missing?

Hey, I just learnt that from Paul Hemmings!! He took it one step further and discussed how to make a min7, major7, and min7(b5) from the 7th chord. Also, he made you play the 7th by just saying what notes is played on the 1st string ie play the c7 with the root on the 1st string, now the c7 with the 5th, etc

I've used that diminished trick for years, in my playing and in my workshops, and it never gets old! I love little patterns like that!
