Mercatino dell'Ukulele in Italy have just released a new cheap ukulele that looks really interesting. It's dead cheap and makes me think of a flea

ABS back, sides and fretboard with a laminate top. There's also a little more expensive one with acacia top and wood fretboard. I can't find any information in English, but it appears to be a nice uke to take camping. I like the acacia a lot.

Maybe Mimmo can say something about it?

Alic ukuleles

Phil is correct. Alic is the brand name for the UK version of this Uke. In fact, Alic is the factory brand, rebranded Mahimahi for Mercatino del'Ukulele in Italy. Aquila strings are factory fitted but the instrument is not an Aquila product. They are distributed in the UK by my company, Stones Music, more info here - http://www.stones-music.co.uk/alic-ukuleles.

I heard someone play one of these last week, and it sounded really good (especially considering the price!).
