Hello, I've been playing acoustic guitar for a few years and I now I wanna learn the ukulele. I've done some online research and I also went to my local music store to try out some and I decided I wanna get a tenor. Now the only issue is, which one?!

My only requirements are:
1. Tenor
2. Electric-acoustic
3. Solid wood top (preferably)
4. Cutaway (preferably)
5. Budget is 300ish

I've posted the links to the ones I'm considering below. I wanted to know if any of you guys have tried these ukuleles and what you recommend from these choices or if you recommend one that I haven't listed. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Especially since I'm a noob to the uke world. Thank you!

Thread approved and out of moderation queue. Sorry for the delay.

I have the Cordoba - a great high end entry level uke. I play in a band and use the uke for a few songs per gig. The electronics are so-so, I take away the thumpyness with a 7 band EQ that i have laying around. It is very easy to play. I have a new Pono Pro-Classic on the way, so if you wait a few weeks, if you like the idea of the Cordoba, we might be able to make a deal.

I recently got the Cordoba 20TM-CE. It was used and came with the Aquilla Red Low G strings on it. I'm really enjoying it so far.

Any of those would make a good choice for a first ukulele. If you have the opportunity to play them first, get the one that feels most comfortable to you. If you are going to buy from an online retailer, might I suggest that you patronize one of the excellent sellers with a presence here on Ukulele Underground, such as Mim at Mim's Ukes, Hawaii Music Supply, or Uke Republic. I don't mean to leave anyone out, but I do know that those three places will also make sure that your ukulele is set up properly as opposed to just selling it how it came out of the box - which for some brands can be a BIG difference in its playability.
I personally have dealt with Mim and HMS, and have heard great things about Uke Republic as well. I would suggest calling them and asking them about what they think and telling them your budget - they might also have another option you may not have thought of.

Oh, and also Mainland Ukes!

You may also be able to get a much higher-quality used instrument for that price. You might want to look at Pono or Islander or Big Island ukuleles as well...

Good luck!

I have to agree about buying from someone who will set the instrument up for you rather than an out of the box model. It may cost a little more or the shipping be higher but you will be more pleased. If you go to a store that doesn't and try playing them do so to hear their sound.

Congratulations on coming to UU for advice! You'll make a much better choice as an informed uker!
(personally, of the ukes you listed, I'd prefer the Kala, but there's nothing wrong with Cordoba.....I'd steer clear of the OS)

The Hawaii Music Supply has Cordoba ukuleles on sale right now ... www.theukulelesite.com ... I have bought ukes from them and highly recommend them ... great service and integrity.
