I use to have Stagg US20 soprano and it was solid 50$ uke if you upgrade them with aquila strings.
The problem is that somebody stole it from me months ago and I decide to buy a new uke.

I was wondering could you recommend me a budget uke?
I'm from Europe (Croatia) and the shipping cost fortune on most sites.

Could you recommend me something round 70$ with shipping?
Or at least give me some advice what to look for in a budget uke?

Love,
Pe

In this price range, I'd go for a Makala (entry level line of Kala). They are pretty decent for that price. There are many music stores in Europe who carry them, even a local one near you might have them.

Would best shipping for you be from UK, Italy, France, Germany perhaps?

well yes 'cuz shipping from US is way to expensive.

Shipping costs to Croatia Euro 25 (Why so pricey).

I saw the site and it has great selection but the shipping cost are way too pricey. I would rather give that 25€ extra for a better uke then for a shipping, if you know what I mean.

There was a recent thread about Flight ukes from Slovenia. I know nothing about them.

Yeah that's the thread I started to gather some info on Flight ukes but nobody knows anything about it

Makala. I have one, and I like it.

Go a step up and buy a Kala SEM around $90 USD and very nice to look at.

The retail is a bit higher than you can get them for at least here in the US. There's a member trying to sell a slightly used one for quite a while now. He wants $70 and you can see the look of the wood on the uke you are buying. Maybe work on the price with him with shipping?

Good luck

Check out Eddy Finn Ukuleles. There are distributors outside of the USA. They start at 25 and go up. They have a three year warranty by the distributor when you send them an e-mail with your serial number to let them know you have bought it.-
