String question

I have a Kala KA T with Aquila strings. The C string a wraped. I just got a Baroque Ukulele and and to it to the local Guitar Center and had Aquila strings put on it. The ones that were put on the Baroque are not like the ones on the Kala. The Baroque sounds "twangy", but the Kala sounds nice. Is there that much differnce in the strings, or does the Barogue just sound that way. Advice is certainly welcome.

I was told it would be "mellower " sort of speak. I may have been aken a little or is it possibly the strings.

Strings will nearly always change the tone somewhat, but some instruments seem to resist that, regardless of strings because of their construction. I seem to remember (my old brain doesn't remember as well as it used to) that another member complained about how "quiet" the baroque is.

The quiet isn't an issue with me, but I would like to have it sound richer.
