Fishman kula Preamp help

I cannot get my ukulele connected to the amp. I am using the iRig HD to connect to my iPad and have gone through their troubleshooting steps and everything works fine on that end, so it must be on the Fishman end on my uke.
I have followed the Fishman instructions, but it just does not connect. It is supposed to flash the battery light once when it's connected and this does not happen.

The tuner part does work properly.

Anything I can do?

Can you take a pic of the output jack and the cable that you're using? Need to be sure the sleeve of the cable is grounded properly in the end jack.

I am a bit confused by your description...

What happens if you just take a guitar cable and go from the uke to the amp? Do you get any sound?

I would eliminate as many variables as possible, and then by process of elimination, it would be easier to figure out what is not working?

If you go into your iRig, and then into your iPad, and run into Garageband, etc, can you get the sound of your uke out to your headphones?

Do you have another guitar cable to try and test with? Maybe the cable is intermittent and has a loose contact inside the plug?
