Song Help Request Friend of the Devil intro help

Welcome.

Believe it or not - I made it up myself because I like the tune.
(It's not exactly what Garcia plays, but that is what you end up with four strings only.)

Hey phrunk, that's a nifty looking tablature thing-y you used there. Mind if I ask what program/app/website you use for that?

Chris, once you get it figured out, post a video. I have a feeling this will sound super cool on the uke!

I kind of do it a little differently.
I start on C 0003 then slide back a fret 0002 then 0000 then 0030 (I lit out from Reno)
then make a Dm 2210 but add the pinky on the 5th fret so you play 2510, slide it back one fret 2410, then lift pinky leaving Dm 2210, then F 2010 (I was trailed by 20 hounds).
repeat
0003, 0002, 0000, 0030
dada, dadada, da da, da

2510, 2410, 2210, 2010
da, da da, da da, da

then G 0232, 0233, 0235 (set out runnin' but I take my time)
Dm 2210, 2410, 2210, 2010, 2210 (friend of the devil is a friend of mine)
repeat, back to G, then start over.

So you are using your pinky (or 3rd finger) to walk that "extra" note on top of the basic chords.

then G (Got two reasons why I cry...)
Dm (first one's named sweet Anne Marie, she's my heart's delight), slide up DM one fret 332, then G

That's the framework, I just vary the strums to get the rhythm and you can play with it from there. I guess I need to make a video!

I have not yet found that one piece of software that makes nice looking tabs. So, for my website tabs, I
- write the score in MuseScore 2.0 Beta
- print it to a postscript file
- open it in adobe illustrator
- brush it up (fonts, spacing, looks, etc.)
- export a pdf
- ready.

Sounds more complicated than it is.
