Season 156 Sell Me Love

Here is a Dual Entry - I had done it for my second song for Season 155, but it fits here, just as well. So you get it for both seasons!

-Kurt

A Queen song, Queen Lili'uokalani that is. A love/farewell song. Tomorrow's entry will fit the theme better

Aloha 'Oe Lyrics
Ha`aheo ka ua i nâ pali
Ke nihi a`ela i ka nahele
E hahai (uhai) ana paha i ka liko
Pua `âhihi lehua o uka

Hui:
Aloha `oe, aloha `oe
E ke onaona noho i ka lipo
One fond embrace,
A ho`i a`e au
Until we meet again

Reasons !! They don't need no stinkin' reasons !! I was in the kitchen when I heard a clatter and a bang.... Old Red had been knocked onto the
floor from the top of the cupboaed and Zed's Bridge was hanging off....reminded me of the Tale of The Little Fiddle...." she was so putrified that her bridge fell out "....as Danny Kaye tells it !! ....what with Moggy peace keeping and watching Bridges this is turning into a Banki Moon Sunday !!!

Can a song about fun and friendship pass this season? I might go with it for entry #4 if I have time; and I can sing along to it!

absolutely works. part of the way I defined love is diplomacy. There is always some give and take in friendships too. I want to recognize people's platonic lovers and their squishes too.

What are the kitty names CeeJay?

Here's one that should work. My editing program is acting up so I didn't get to put a title on here to say that it is season 156. I have another one coming so maybe I will figure out how to fix it by the time I post again.

The one in the cat igloo is Biscuit ..6 ..the little spark in front of the amp ...don't know ...she's a little pregnant stray that we're bunking up until we decide what to do long term.....Biscuit ,of course ,has views on this matter !!

So, the "Fun Song" is in! Also doing a peace/diplomacy song from a cbeebies show and another (easier) 4K&C song.

Here's another double-duty entry. I have been planning this since the beginning of last Season for "age", but recorded it this evening. Luis (greyghost1964) did it early last week. I was clever enough to wait till the end of the week in anticipation of being able to use it twice. (Okay, that's not how it happened at all. I just didn't get round to it till now.)

It's a tender love ballad about the progression of love as we grow old together. Or something like that.

Unfortunately I'm limited to no capo until I can find another way to record. I use my capo to hold up my cell phone when I record (I clamped it to a tree branch for my first entry this season.)

/JOKING/ My goodness. Love? What an obscure theme for a SOTU week! We might as well be looking for songs about the impact of post-socialist Mongolian government agrarian policies! Where the heck are we supposed to find songs about love?!? /end JOKING/

Yannow one of the cool things about posting a cover on YouTube is what shows up in the 'related videos' field after you've posted it. Through clicking on those links I've discovered so much amazing music. Today, I found that one of my musical heroes, Chris Cornell, arguably the best male vocalist (in his heyday; age has taken its toll on his voice) of my generation, also covered the tune I chose for LOVE week.

Don't watch his video before mine because I'll just sound crappy, but check this out afterwards-> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XpQWkKcYAoo

Ha! I don't believe it! Was working on this very same tune y'day afternoon! Decided I couldn't do it the justice it deserves. I certainly couldn't do it in G. Hattip sir!

Or what about Jeffrey Lewis History of Communism & North Korea part 5
Shouldn't there be songs about that???

Like a record in the bargain bin
no one knows what it's worth
until a collector walks in.

Cult Boyfriend Original by Jeffrey Lewis

Oh the agony of wondering if you are being loved by a few or many.

Hiya. This is The Glory of Love, from The Daily Ukulele. Everything was a separate take this time, so I only have the live singing portion on video for you. Much thanks to all for watching.
