I have 7 different versions of "Pearly Shells" on vintage vinyl and only one has a picking part and it is done as the intro of the song on what sounds like a lap steel guitar.

The way I pick it is...(I'm to lazy to tab out all 4 strings when you only need the string/fret (g4=g string 4th fret)
The sheet music notation shows the g4 as a LowG but it sounds just fine as high g too.

    Code:
Pearl-y shells from the o- cean shin-ing in the sun
    g4 c2 e3 a0 a2 c2 c2 e3 e3 e2 e2 e0

cov-er-ing the shore when I see them my heart tells me
    e2 e2 e3 e3 a0 g4 c2 e3 e3 a0 a2 a3 a3

that I love you more than all the lit-tle pearl-y shells
    a2 a3 a3 a3 e3 a0 a2 a2 a3 a0 e2 c2 e3

I took this from the Jumpin Jim's "Gone Hawaiian" sheet music book and tabbed this using the notes from the G major scale "#" as that is the key the song is in the book.
Hope this is what you are looking for.

I'd love a copy of these tabs too, please? My daughter has just been born and we have named her Pearl, this has to be her tune!
    Kind regards,
