Is it mandatory to get a tattoo late at night/early morning?
well, I was bored and it's Friday night.

It's been six years since Sukie and I got tattoos in Chicago. Damn! This hurts!

I got mine about 1 in the afternoon.

And when I left the shop there was a kid outside who looked like he was trying to get up the nerve to go in. He said, "did it hurt?" I said, "Hell yes it hurt! I just got jabbed with a needle several thousand times!"

I was totally calm. Then I got on the table and heard the gun. My memories of pain instantly came flooding back. Crap, this is going to REALLY hurt. And it did, but it was awesome.

Love my new ink.

Ok... So with all this pen talk.... I usually use a Waterman if I use a fountain pen at all (for the record, I have always written "cursive" - was never taught or used the printing/block letter style...)
Anyway - Inherited a couple of pens from my father so I went and had a look. One SET is a pair of sterling silver and black enamel/resin Parker cisele/ciselle fountain pen and ballpoint pen. First time I looked closely. Probably from the late 1960's. The nib holder (?) has angle marked in degrees...
Closest I can find is this...

And this?

The ball point is identically patterned.... No box/case...

Worth having someone look at them to get them functional?

The weekend ahead:

Tonight - take Emma and Annie to the fountain pen shop to choose a birthday gift for their brother.
Tomorrow a.m. - either take Annie to swimming lessons or Emma to a TAG workshop. They normally both have swimming lessons, but Emma's workshop was scheduled for the same time.
Tomorrow p.m. - WEEDWHACKING! It will probably take the whole afternoon.
Sunday a.m. - Church - I'm the sound guy this week.
Sunday p.m. - Celebrate the beginning of Ben's 19th year by being polite to his mother at The Cheesecake Factory.
Weedwhacking??? Do you mean manscaping??? And it's going to take you all afternoon???

I guess you let the "weeds" get out of control......

Great. Sally's out peeing in the field.

Apparently some people have peed on the field. The field across the bridge. My opinion only here -- that's disgusting. Well, it's not disgusting of there are no pora-potties, but there ARE porta-potties. Use them. Except #3. That one was nasty.

Good morning, one and all! I'm at McD's, on my way to the jam session. It looks like it will be a beautiful day, today....

I have that Parker 75. Very nice pen, but prone to leak. Parker is now owned by Waterman if that makes it any better.

Aloha

Also, it came with a coin-sized disk sit a flatted circle in the center that fit over the nib and feed. It was used to adjust the angle of the nib relative to the grip section. The grip section has a triangle shape for easier gripping. One side of the triangle is knurled for grip.

Aloha

Good Morning, Darlings!

I awoke this morning to a mix of rain and snow. Really, Mother Nature? Really? Pflft.

I'm planning to spend an extraordinary amount of time uking in a sun room (or worst case, a boiler room) today. Keeps me warm. :D
