The WMNF Uke It Out festival was a blast. They entertained us from 8PM till way past midnight. There were raffle drawings, 7 different performances by very talented soloists and bands. One band to look out for is Junction 27. They do really neat original songs. I'd like to see it start earlier next year, the crowd was very thin for the last two bands. Over 100 people attended. The tickets were only $9. The parking was $10! They even had a Jimi Hendrix song contest. I didn't even know people could do JH on the uke! It's a very cool festival, the creator, Becky, said "yes" when I said "Let's do it next year."
Heard they didn't want any "ornery" uke players. :stop:
