I received one and after inspecting it I decided not to install it. Here are the reasons
It is. 036" in diameter and that is way too thick for my liking.The South Coast wound C is. 026 and the Thomastik Infield CF27 is. 027. Both of those diameters fit perfectly between the wound G at. 030 and the floro E at approx. .024. Both of those wound C strings sound great.
This Oasis wound C is identical to the Ko'olau wound C. It is the same diameter, same color, same windings. I have those on hand and did a side by side comparison and they appear to be the same string. I have played that string and do not care for the sound. As Ryan (Recstar24) above noted they are on the brighter more metalic sounding side. I am dissappointed because I love a wound 3rd and was really looking forward to this string.
This is all very personal and others might like this string a lot.
