2016 Los Angeles Int'l Ukulele Festival Sept 24

I am very disappointed the only notice I saw about signing up for James Hill's class was on here after it had already filled up. It would have been much better to include the information about signing up in the reply email that was sent after purchasing my ticket, very poorly done!

Nope - it was clearly stated on 3/8 that you needed to join the email list to get first notice of James' workshop announcement. 3/8 was a whole month before the notice went out to the aforementioned email list.

Mitch yes it was/is clearly stated in your post on 3/8. However I heard about the festival from a friend and purchased my ticket from your website in early April and did not happen to see this thread until about a month later. I guess the James Hill class was a UU exclusive. Not sure why the website required/requires the entry of an email prior to purchasing tickets, it would have been an ideal time to send out an automated response about special requirements for the event to all who do not regularly follow the Regional Gatherings tab on UU.

The workshop was not a UU "exclusive" but like I said, those who joined the festival email list got first dibs which is why, to incentivize folks to join, I made the announcement here on UU and on Facebook. I hope you will join the list if you haven't done so already http://bit.ly/298BA2y
