Hi folks, im looking for a few recomendations. I play my Ukes tunedEADG like violin and tenor guitar. I have a soprano and baritone.
I play a Bartolex 7 string guitar .
Both my ukes were experiments. Both were successfull. Both were bottom of the range.
So im looking to spend as little as possible yet move up ,So thinking about 300 approx each.sterling.
I use Savarez BGAE strings from Spanish guitar for the baritone tuned EADG and the Aquila strings for fifths for the fiddle tuning .
So am I being realistic ? Where should i be looking.?
My baritone is the clearwater round back . i like it, id be tempted to just get another, but id like more quality of tone volume and clarity.
Would I be wise in spending a bit more to jump class? Say 500 Or can
i get a reasonable compramise for less? 200.
Anyhow all ideas and suggestions appreciated.

I don't know anything about Baritones so I'll leave that alone and someone will come in here and help with that, but I have a few Soprano suggestions. If I had 300 for one, I would look for a used vintage Martin Soprano. Prices vary a TON, but there are some nice ones out there around that price. Second would be a vintage Kamaka Soprano. Depending on condition, you can definitely find one in that range. If you aren't into vintage here are a few I would suggest from great dealers who will make sure your uke has a great setup.

These are just preference really and has nothing to do with what's "best", but if you don't like any of those, try searching Mim's eBay store for Sopranos and same with http://www.theukulelesite.com/. You'll find something to fit your taste.

I got bitten by the soprano bug while shopping for everybody else, but fell in love with a Kamoa E3-P, itʻs a happy little cuss & I had to have it.
Baritone, on my shopping list - will be curious what you choose.
