Wondering what your preference is on this-
I resaw on a 18" Rikon with a 3TPI 3/4" blade. Normally I tension the blade to the normal level (according to the saw) for that blade size.
Recently I have been reading some discussion on resawing where people advocate either higher tension to increase beam strength of the blade and keep it cutting straight, or less tension so the saw doesn't have to work as hard to spin the blade and thus you get more HP for the cut.
do you have a preference? have you tried both? I would hesitate to use less than normal tension because Id worry that the blade would drift, maybe that's not the case.
