I didn't do that! You did!

Heh heh heh, good one Kenvin. And thank you Jan. I'm pretty sure this is my Crohns acting up again and not a food born illness. I've got a colonoscopy and endoscope scheduled in October so hopefully that will answer some questions. I've been in remission for a few years so I suspect my gastroenterologist will put me back on meds.

Jan, the suction cups rarely give way. As long as the window is clean and you moisten the cups when you put them up they hold very well. And if one does give way, the other side holds so the cat just get jostled a bit, they don't fall.

I have mine on vertical opening windows. If my two beasts get in one when the windows open, their weight slowly closes the window. It's really funny.

Oh, pooh! Literally. I just put Beauty in her crate because I am not going to get any sleep otherwise with her exploring and climbing. Only slept 2 hours last night. There is a blanket, food, and water and a litter box.

As soon as I turned off the light, she started digging like a dog tunneling. She wouldn't stop. I got up and she starting pooping. Lots of it. Diarrhea. It could be from the contaminated cat (which I doubt since she stayed away from the others - of course they shared food and water bowls). Or it could be from the preventative meds. They said they gave her a strong one that gave her diarrhea and then switched to another one.

She has been more alert today and moving around more. Eating and drinking. So I am assuming its the meds. She's also been sneezing a few times. Hope it's just dust from under the bed.

I'll call the vet tomorrow.

My bedroom smells like tuna and chicken and diarrhea. Lovely. Make for great sleeping atmosphere. :D

Everyone does what they can. After raising 4 kids in various activities I found sports parents (including cheer moms) to be some of the most annoying parents in the world. Parents that were only interested in their children rise to the top. They were rarely concerned about the entire team or teaching their children about team work. It was ALWAYS about the individual.
I purposely steered my kids away from sports as they got older. I can't tolerate that self-centerness that I saw. Individual sports like track, diving, golf etc weren't so bad. Music, choir, theatre, etc are all good too.

I'm going to ignore this and assume you aren't directing this at me.

World, meet Poppy! (who will probably get her name changed to Beautiful or something more fitting). She is NOT what I went looking for! She is 9 months old and VERY shy. She was staying up on a shelf away from everyone else. She did let me scratch her and she rubbed back a little. She also touched my nose with her nose! I hope she eventually comes out of her carrier, but that will be on her terms. She may have been a feral cat and they have really worked with her. She has a long way to go, but she is going to be spoiled ROTTEN if she will let me!

Ok, maybe she was what I went looking for - a cat who needed to be loved and spoiled!

I got her at the local Humane Society. Much better experience than yesterday. It is a great place! I thought about getting 2 and was going to, but they wanted her to go home alone because they felt that was in her best interest. They have the cat's best interest at heart. They could have gotten rid of two, but wanted what was best for the cats. They said she would be fine alone. I took some cat food to donate and also left some extra money for them.

Her adoption fee was $100 but I paid $9! They are trying to get the cats adopted so they are letting cats go based on the number of points the Carolina Panthers make each week! SWEET!! But still, they have the cat's best interest at heart as you can see above. I will be donating there more often!

I think I am going to call her Beautiful and call her Beauty for short. Click on the pic to enlarge. She definitely is a Beauty!

Congratulations Beautiful. You're about get spoiled for life.

I don't think so, just the more aggro sports parents, I know exactly the type she is taking about,
Huntington is full of them.
We used to go watch our nephew play football when he was in high school. Some of the parents were unbelievable, behavior-wise.
Real nice example for your child.
Crazy.

Yep. what he said.

Jan, you might think about giving her the bathroom for the night so she can move around. Cats are nocturnal and with diarrhea she might be very uncomfortable stuck in a crate with her litter box.

Try eating a bowl of blueberry yogurt, with whole blueberries and granola on it, while reading about kitty diarrhea....
