I find it amusing when someone posts something on FB then has another post contradicting the post.

This guy had something about how he agrees with Trump then he shared a post about how Trump shouldn't be ridiculing athletes for standing up for freedom of speech.

When a man with organ performance degrees from Julliard and Yale, and 20 years of experience turns up on your doorstep, disappears for 3 months not knowing you're looking, and is grateful because he and his fiancée will be able to worship together and they both thought of the parish as home. Yeah. Good deal is the tip of the iceberg.

In my old church we found a music director who was phenomenal. Opera trained, but equally skilled with contemporary stuff. A whiz on the keyboard. Inspired everyone to excel. I was the elder in charge of doing his performance review. I met with the pastor before his review and I said, "He's too good for us - we're not going to get to keep him, but let's cherish every moment we have with him." I was right - he graciously tendered his resignation during his performance review.

A 30 thousand dollar pay cut. That's an entire income for many people? What does she do?

She's the administrator in charge of student information services for a local school district. It's a HUGE job for one person. My district uses one person at each site and one person at district level to oversee and coordinate to do the job she does. Her district has her, for the same amount of schools. It's too much for one person and if she quits she'll be the third person they've gone through in five years.

The money isn't worth the time and stress the demands of the job puts on you. They need to structure it like my district does, but her district sucks. Really backwards in thinking and they put a lot of money into jobs that don't need to exist. The superintendent has created positions so he can bring in his friends. Their school board sucks too!

I feel like crap today. Mike ran me a bath the this morning, that felt good, but boy I'm sore all over. My mid-section is so sore from throwing up, I can barely breathe. I'm going to veg all day on the couch.

I caught Annie's cold over the weekend. Blecch. On the other hand, it's so nice to have an office where I can work at home now! So much more productive than sitting on the couch with my laptop!

World, meet Poppy! (who will probably get her name changed to Beautiful or something more fitting). She is NOT what I went looking for! She is 9 months old and VERY shy. She was staying up on a shelf away from everyone else. She did let me scratch her and she rubbed back a little. She also touched my nose with her nose! I hope she eventually comes out of her carrier, but that will be on her terms. She may have been a feral cat and they have really worked with her. She has a long way to go, but she is going to be spoiled ROTTEN if she will let me!

Ok, maybe she was what I went looking for - a cat who needed to be loved and spoiled!

I got her at the local Humane Society. Much better experience than yesterday. It is a great place! I thought about getting 2 and was going to, but they wanted her to go home alone because they felt that was in her best interest. They have the cat's best interest at heart. They could have gotten rid of two, but wanted what was best for the cats. They said she would be fine alone. I took some cat food to donate and also left some extra money for them.

Her adoption fee was $100 but I paid $9! They are trying to get the cats adopted so they are letting cats go based on the number of points the Carolina Panthers make each week! SWEET!! But still, they have the cat's best interest at heart as you can see above. I will be donating there more often!

I think I am going to call her Beautiful and call her Beauty for short. Click on the pic to enlarge. She definitely is a Beauty!

Yay, Jan! You needed each other :)

I like the name Poppy, though - it's cute!

That would be my dream job set up for Mike. Over the years he has worked from the garage. During those times he is a much happier employee and husband. And I love taking him meals and visiting with him about his work. I'm hoping some day he can work for himself. That would be ideal.

I will stop at a local brewery tomorrow for some beers!! It's a special release I hope they have some left. Called Tired Hands D2H3 with some galaxy hops. Sounds tasty!!!

Rogue Brewery has been talking about their "Dead and Dead" which is my favorite Dead Guy Ale that has been aged for six months in Dead Guy Whiskey barrels. I have to get my hands on some of this stuff!

Really busy.

I had to fit all the teams into their uniforms. One little kid in the 7 year old division took twenty minutes to choose his number. "Can I have #14?"

"Sorry buddy, #14 is taken already but you can choose one of these that aren't crossed out."

"Okay. Can I have #14 PLEASE?"

::sigh::

This went on for close to twenty minutes before I sold him on #28 (14 twice!).

During my very short stint in little league on team uniform day they handed out the uniforms. That was it. You got the number you got. None of us even considered questioning it.

Good luck with the house and the job.

Mika has an interview this morning. She was really nervous so I got up a little early and printed out interview questions and then stood in the bathroom asking her questions while she showered.

She seemed to feel a little better and didn't seem as anxious. This job will involve a 30K pay cut, but also probably reduce the hours she's been working by 40%

As long as they have a shower for her to interview in she should do great!

If they are good. But usually she gives them high sugar snacks 10 minutes before bed then they are up till 9 since they are on sugar high making getting up at 7 am a chore.

Yeah, the sugar blues are a reality. Anyone who argues that never had kids.

Plus they must behave. Which seems to be not such a good thing lately.

Uprooting kids is never easy. Changing schools and living with grandma has probably really thrown them. Totally understandable that they may be acting up. And they feel the stress that you and your wife are going thru trying to find a house. Grandma challenging your authority can't be helping either.

Summer told me that next time she will say no she doesnt need the sweets. But yea I dont want to have them grow large and have weight problems later in life.

I was very active up until about 30.
I also made much better food choices. I think I still eat ok, I just eat too much. Not really sure how it happened but yes I know I did it to myself. No real point to this discussion other than my mom raised me well and I had all the tools and knowledge to stay thin and healthy and got fat anyway all on my own.
