Good morning! I texted you an article about Honouliuli yesterday. Then I remembered you got your 7 new Verizon devices, and maybe new numbers?

Thank you for reminding me.

I got the text during my benadryl stupor. I didn't even remember it until you posted right now. I will go check it out on my phone when I can.

Home from Waikoloa and still have some residual aloha going.

Waikaloa - by John P. Watkins

Aia i Waikaloa
Home ho`okipa malihini
Pumehana me ke aloha
I ka leo o ka makamaka

A huli aku au mahalo
I ka nani a`o Ka`uiki
` O ia nani nô ia
`O ka hale ipu kuku`i

`O ka noe a ka ua kea
Kaulana nei a`o Hana
Me ka ua Mâlualua
E `uhai ana e ka noe

Ha`ina mai ka puana
Waikaloa i ka hanohano
Home ho`okipa malihini
He beauty maoli nô

Here at Waikaloa
Is the home that welcomes the newcomer
With warmth and love
And the voice of a dear friend

I turn to admire
The beauty of Ka`uiki
So beautiful indeed
Is the lighthouse

The gentle rainspray and the white mist
Famous here in Hana
With the Mâlualua (north wind)
Chasing the mist

The song is concluded
Of Waikaloa so majestic
Home that welcomes the newcomer
With beauty unsurpassed

It is a very pretty song, only three (or maybe 5 if you want to go fancy) chords, but you need to pick the key for your voice. Let me YouTube a good version...

They have been airing a commercial that shows a Willie character driving a yellow VW beetle lately. And the song they run is:

Code:
[CENTER]On the Road Again
Willie Nelson[/CENTER]

[C] On the road again,
just can't wait to get on the [E7] road again
The life I love is making [Dm] music with my friends
And [F] I can't wait to get [G7] on the road a[C]gain

[C] On the road again,
goin' places that I've [E7] never been
Seein' things that I may [Dm] never see again,
And [F] I can't wait to [G7] get on the road a[C]gain. [C7]

[C7] On the [F] road again,
like a band of gypsies we go down the [C] highway
We're the [F] best of friends,
insisting that the world keep turning [C] our way

And [G7] our way is,

On the [C] road again,
just can't wait to get on the [E7] road again
The life I love is making [Dm] music with my friends
And [F] I can't wait to get [G7] on the road a[C]gain

(Repeat as many times as you please.)

(And end with a second)
And [F] I can't wait to get [G7] on the road a[C]gain

Sugested final tag:
And [F] I can't wait to get [G7] on the road a[Fm][C]gain.
thats my road trip song. My dad used to sing it when we were leaving for a trip.

Waiting on new strings from Southcoast.

An extra set for my case too :)

Maybe I will actually get around to re-stringing my six string this weekend!

Did I mention at the Kanikapila that someone - I think it may have even been Les - asked about my ukulele and I said the man who made it is right here, and then they talked about Milo wood and that the guy knew someone with a to'ere (Tahitian log drum) made of Milo and I said that's why I wanted Milo and Mr. Bader said, "You should hear his other Milo ukulele, super loud." And it really is. Going to play that some more!

Good morning, one and all! It's still raining. I guess we've had something over 2 inches, so far. The rain is expected to continue through tomorrow. This should put a dent in our drought situation....

Drought? Ha! You don't know drought.

On Monday I turned on my windshield wipers in my car due to a heavy drizzle. I bought the car a year and a half ago. That was their first time being used for rain, and it wasn't really rain.

Got more free wood today. There a guy keeps putting out nice little fire pit logs. I take about half everytime. I think I am the only one who is taking any it's been there for almost 2 weeks.

This class is my tough guy/girl class.

A lot of kids that get in trouble quite a bit, cut classes, aren't too academically successful.

They are all laughing their heads off watching Ratatouille. Kids letting down their guard and being kids! :)
