I went to bed, more tired than usual, at my regular time. I have slept, but only fitfully. Now it's 1:15 am and I'm up....

So, my buddy and I are going to Ohio on Friday to attend a weekend spintop festival. It's in a little town called Miamisburg, between Dayton and Cincinnati. This will be our third year attending.

To make this year's trip even more special, we're going a couple of hours (2 1/2?) out of our way on the way down to visit Mainland Ukulele! I think we may each pick up a new uke to mark the event.

It's almost 10 hours from here to Mainland, and then about 2 1/2 hours back to Miamisburg. It'll mean a long day on the road, but it'll be worth it! We're taking my truck, and sharing the driving.

We expect to see Mike at his store by mid-afternoon. I can't wait!

It might be a good idea to touch base with Mike, to make sure they will be there?

I guess it's supposed to be a bit cloudy today. It's going to be hard to see the eclipse? Oh well I'll just wait for the next one.

I'll be working today, during the eclipse. We're supposed to get about 70% coverage. It should be interesting.

The next total eclipse is on April 8, 2024, and Rochester falls smack dab in the middle of the zone of totality. Now that's going to be the one for me to see....

All this talk of eclipses made me think of the Cat Stevens song, Moon Shadow. I should go look up the chords and lyrics. It seems an appropriate song choice for today....

Step by step Kenvin. Git 'er done!

We got most of it done. There is about another 4 loads in the car we still have to pack and purge but otherwise we got it all in a 300 ft sq. I think if I go organize it another day I can fit more stuff. Last night after packing all day we rushed the last before we had to be out of the unit area.

Look who's living large these days!!!

Where are you going to hide it when you get home?

Is that why you built the shelves? Getting all Trump with a distraction to sneak by with a uke?

The next one is sooner than I expected. I'll be 74 then, well, I hope to be that is. I haven't checked the guarantee on this life.

[E] I asked the faithful [A] light.
[E] Did it take long to [A] find me?
[E7] And are you gonna stay the [A] night?

Yes [G] if I [D] ever [G] lose my [D] mouth,
oh [Em] if [A7] [D] [F#m] [Bm]
I [Em] won't have to [A] talk.

That was fun. Thanks Rob (and Don)!
