I don't think I've been in the office yet today. Hang on a minute....

Okay! NOW it's awash in foot oil. I've been in every room in the house, and in the garage and down to the basement, all with bare naked feet! Woo hoo!

Don JUGGLES fire.

Got the shower cleaned, finally. It's as good as it's going to get.

I hate the fumes from the cleaning spray. I ran the exhaust fan, and had the water running, and I can still feel it in my sinuses....

I think I am addicted to surfing the net. I wasn't going to turn the computer on this morning, but then I got an e-mail from the college about paperwork I had to complete pronto. So . . . I had to get on the computer.

But then I ran the errands I needed to run. But then I sat down to eat my lunch at the computer. Now, I am struggling (not really) to get up and get busy.

It is much worse in the summer when I am more isolated. PLUS I am tired. I am not sleeping as much as I need. It's easier to sit . . .

So, I didn't tell y'all I was going back to college, did I? Well, it's really not going since they are coming to me (us). Classes will be somewhere local and will be one night a week.

We got an e-mail from the principal saying we could apply to do an add on to our license. It is a reading add on. It is 6 classes (only one class per quarter/semester) and the county is paying for it. All I have to do is buy the books. They had 50 applicants and choose 17 - 5 of those were from my school.

I can retire with full benefits in 2021, but probably won't be able to afford to. So, with the reading add on licensure, I would be more likely to be able to be a primary reading teacher (kind of like a specialist - kids would come to me for help). It might give me a few more options.

Anyway, I am kind of excited. Well, until the reading and tests, etc start! :p I'm not too worried. I took 4 and 5 classes a semester for 4 years every weekend when I was in seminary (and teaching school, too). This will be nowhere as intense as that was!

A friend of mine and I are going to Ohio in August, for a festival. I just checked the distance between where we'll be and Nashville, Indiana, thinking maybe we'd drop in and visit Mike at Mainland.

It's almost 2 1/2 hours further west, which would add 5 hours of driving time to the trip. That's a lot of driving. I think I'd be willing, but I'm not sure about my friend (although he also plays uke).

We'll need to play it by ear....

Sounds exciting, Jan! Free college classes can't be bad, assuming they are credit bearing, can they?

Good for you! Extra options are a good thing....
