Greetings, I've been lurking here for a while and have found tons of great threads, tabs, videos and other stuff. Great forums. I have a couple of inexpensive ukes, a Lanikai Tenor and an Oscar Schmidt Bari. They both seem to play well and stay in tune. I play a bit of guitar and banjo but as I have gotten a little older am finding the small size and nylon strings and great versatility of the ukulele very much appealing. They are my most played instruments these days. WC

The smaller size of the ukulele definitely has many advantages. Easy to pick up, easy to find a spot to play it in, easy to put on the desk or a side table for a few moments. Also less chance of banging it against things.
