Instrument identity

Hey folks. This is a photo of my grandmother and a group of friends taken in 1927. Curious if anyone knows the instrument the one guy is holding. Size looks like a uke but shaped more like a banjo.

It's a banjolele...
 
Hold the phone! It MIGHT be a California style banjolele.... or it might be a Lyon & Healy Camp Uke!

I also think it could be a Lyon & Healy camp uke. I have one that looks very much like it. The one in the picture seems to have violin style tuners. That would make it an early one. Mine is the one on the right. The left one is a Gretsch Camp Uke.
