The new Romero Creations line of solid top/laminate body is really impressive. I had the pleasure of hearing them played. Andrew Kitakis will be sharing videos at some point. These are exceptional values.

Any idea about the price range of this new line from Romero Creations?

KoAloha and Ko'olau/Pono are not exhibiting this year.

Neither Collings nor Larrivee had any ukes on display.

Thanks for letting me walk the halls of NAMM wit'cha!

Oh no, I wonder why that is? They were on the official list of attendees.

Is that Jake signature model from the past, or is there a new model this year?

I thought that UAS was under control, but am finding myself looking forward to learning more about some of these, like the new line for Romero Creations.

Thanks to all who are sharing links, photo, and information on any and all ukulele related things.

I spotted a Kanile'a model with a side sound port. Nice!

They make such beautiful instruments. I don't have UAS. I don't have UAS. I don't have.... Yes, I do.

New model!

My understanding is that KoAloha is relocating their factory and did not want the distraction. These trade shows are so expensive for exhibitors. While it's a good time for people to catch up with customers, for very well established brands they don't often directly result in enough new business to justify the cost. So then you're looking at relationship management and indirect sale benefits, the ROI can be challenging. For newer/less developed brands, it's often an easier justification.
