After selecting the wood, I asked Jake to decide what would look best. We're going with ebony bindings, a classic look for framing the Katalox.

Hodge, that is one great looking ukulele. The Katalox looks fantastic I'm sure Red Spruce with Ebony binding is going to look fantastic. I can't wait to see this one finished. I can't wait to hear it. Congrats.

Very fine looking uke, Hodge! Looking forward to its completion!
More an appreciator of the ukulele than a true player. My motto is: "Don't matter how good it ring if it ain't got some bling."

Latest updates from Jake. Ebony binding is on and a coat of pore-filler reveals the more finished color and nice figuring.
To me the ebony looks classy with the Katalox.
