from a post back in Oct, 2016:

"Please view the YouTube video by Josh Kaufman on "The First 20 Hours". It's a 20 min
video that you may find interesting, helpful and encouraging as well. I show it to my
students during session 1 of our time together. It's a TED talk, and I find it helpful."

I show this to my Beginner/Basics I class to encourage them as they look
forward to the following 4 weeks of classes.

I just finished a 5-week course and the students were pleasantly surprised
to see that they could keep up with STRUM in an informal song circle
on the last night of the class. I invite STRUM to join us to give them a
real taste of a ukulele Song Circle... at full speed. :)

I hope you all are encouraged and inspired by the TED talk :)

keep uke'in',

That is a good TED talk. 10,000 hours was never going to happen.

Thanks for re-sharing this, Uncle Rod. The First 20 Hours book is educational and entertaining at the same time. In one chapter he talks about learning 'ukulele.
