Hi:)
i decided to buy Emica -my eldest of my 3 daughters who is 8 a uke for christmas and because she can do uke classes at school . I choose a toy unfortortunetly. So for a month i researched and brought her a pink waterman and i got a lanikai lutu 21s for my self. Then my 6 year old daughter wanted a blue waterman so i got her one too. I was curious about the other sizes so i bought a cordoba 15cm concert, kaka tenor and a makala mk b baritone. When my 4 year old turns 5 she will get a spongbob uke:). I have tried to play guitar before but it is too big and heavy for me but the ukes are more inviting- sound sweet and feels right. It might sound like i had uas but i thought learning with the 4 sizes at the same time will be less confusing and i get to try variety whilst i am still " plastic" and i had some money stashed away. I want to play these for a couple of years and not succumb to uas! :D

Always good to see another Aussie on here.

Hi Teresa -- as a private music teacher I think you are one terrific mother, jumping in and supporting her children's desire to learn to play an instrument, while learning one yourself. Especially where you are are working to put decent instruments into your family's hands and aren't trying to cut corners. Families that make music together are special! Welcome to UU -- it's a great bunch of very supportive and helpful people of all levels of involvement in the ukulele world.

Hi Theresa,

New member here too. Welcome to the UU. Teaching your children will be a memorable experience and may enhance your own learning.
