Veterans of the defunct Greater Syracuse School of Music ukulele class are now flying under their own power as Salt City Ukulele, a Syracuse area community for all things uke. Web site here: https://www.saltcityukulele.org/
We'll be having a free Open House on April 6 from 6 to 8 pm. Come meet us, try out our ukuleles, take a free lesson. Families and individuals of all ages welcome.
Beginning April 17 we'll be offering lessons for beginners and a group play session for experienced players. Open House and lessons/sessions will be at the old train station in the village of Jamesville off East Seneca Turnpike — registration form and directions are on the web site.
All of that will culminate this summer in our fifth is it? I think fifth nearly annual (we missed one year) Ukulele and Ice Cream Therapy tour, with singalong performances at a different Syracuse area ice cream stand each week. We're also working on plans for other performances and group activities.
