Saw a local ad for a uke, but it has an signature on the lower front. It's a gloss finish laminate. It's not an expensive uke, but was wondering if there is a way to remove it.
The finish on a cheap uke is probably modern UV cured poly, those are very durable. I'd suggest the stain remover called Goof Off, which is basically naphtha (lighter fluid). I've used it on lots of poly guitars to get off sticker goop, etc, works like a charm. Always test on a tiny inconspiuous spot first.
:smileybounce::smileybounce:A belt sander will take it off.
