The soundtrack was one of those things I loved the most about that series, I hope I find time this week :)

Good one, Rob! Unfortunately, we aren't able to watch "Empire Boardwalk"; the music list looks fantastic, though. I am thinking of doing the Flute Concerto in F Major.

As long as you do the can-can at the same time... bring it on.
BUt I thought given your avatar you might go for

When I was 16, I was sent by my mum to visit her sister in Atlantic City. I travelled from the old West London Air Terminus (now Sainsbury's Cromwell Rd - you can see it in the opening scenes of Billion Dollar Brain), on one of the first standby arrangements, with TWA. The year was 1971. I worked as a busboy in a restaurant on the boardwalk opposite the Steel Pier (I saw Delaney & Bonnie & Friends there. Had a chat with Bonnie too). I was working to earn the money for the fare home (£79!). But just as I'd saved enough, President Nixon came on the TV to tell the American people he was pulling the US out of the Bretton Woods agreement & floating the dollar. The dollar immediately lost 20% of its value. I had to work for another two weeks.

Why am I telling you all this? 'Cause, like Burt Lancaster in Atlantic City, I remember it before the casinos :)

There was another busboy there, btw a few years older than me, name of Bruce. I've often wondered.

This is going to bring some fantastic music. Really looking forward to this week Rob!

Love the theme Rob. The link for BWE vol. 2 Has a copywright strike against it. If this video has a playlist indicated could you post it to the thread please?

There are a few folks on here that tell interesting stories about their lives they go into TCK mode and I always find it
interesting or amusing. It would be great if everyone who chooses a song for this season could write a short paragraph
about why they choose that particular song. The story could be real or entirely fictitious. Writing is also a creative outlet
and ofter it set the listener up to hear the performance in a different light. The thread would then have both audio and
verbal content. If you feel inspired give it a go... but no pressure.

Fantastic! I'll be able to dust off my Leon Redbone topper. We should have some delightful entries, Rob.

Off to bed now. It is well past midnight here in Finland.
See you all tomorrow.

Interesting. It shows up OK on my (Linux) PC but on the YT App in my iPad I get "Video not available". I reckon it's probably a country thing. Often copyright strikes here are just flagged up and they warn you that there will be ads when you play it. Takedown notices seem less common here. We do get the occasional blocked video, though.

I've copied the track list from the info.
