Because some of those verses are often skipped, it seems in popular perception to be a "happy" song. If I had a dollar for every wedding planner who has been referred to me or a friends for a ukulele player who can play this at a wedding, I'd probably be buying a new uke... despite the fact that it has to be one of the least appropriate songs for the start of a marriage!
