Here's the used Outdoor tenor recently arrived here, from a trade in our Marketplace. Bottle Green, with K&K pickup and strap pin already installed. It came with the stock Rye Rabbit strings, which sounded pretty good, but I think they were a year or 2 old, a bit tired, and the A was starting to shred, so I installed a set of Aquila Reds, with low G. This was my first foray into a linear setup, and I like it so far. As expected, it works way better for some songs, less so for others. These strings also sound a bit louder, have better tone, and have reduced the plasticky sound and extraneous noise alot. So far, so good. Just put them on last night, but like them already, and hope they sound even better as they settle in over the next week or so. I like the look too. This will be my leave-out-all-the-time, travel, beater uke. Always close at hand when inspiration strikes.
