Changing from metal to nylon strings

I have a harmony 8 string ukulele and want to change from metal to nylon strings. The bridge is my big concern it is very sharp. Any thoughts. Ps it looks very much like a mandolin but it is a ukulele

Umm. If it looks like a Mandolin and has 8 steel strings then its a Mandolin. Pictures would help.

If harmony did make a uke that resembled a mando, the nut would be 1 3/8" instead of 1 1/8" and it would have 4 nylon strings unless someone modified it along the way.
