Thanks for this Barry - I'm surprised that a cedar/rosewood instrument was lacking in volume a bit - is the top noticeably thick, or do you think it's the bracing?

Perhaps volume wasn't the point - just kind of less snappy than I would want a soprano to be - very warm, more like a concert. Nice though, and I actually suspect the strings are mostly to blame.

It's really not a negative though - and that's a VERY good score for my site. Anything 8 out of 10 or above I would happily buy for myself.

I just bought one yesterday. As much as I love my Kanaloa Concert... this one has just the right sound. Great sound. Like your review BTW.
