    Very interesting comparison and nicely done. My favorite was the spruce topped instrument. I prefer the more open and resonant sound that a soft wood top with a hardwood back produces. It might be blasphemy but I am always looking for a guitar type tone from my ukuleles.

    It's what we are aiming for - I have done the Hawaiian sound for so long and now I have stopped importing koa it's time to redfine my sound and look for alternatives to koa.
