For sale is a gorgeous Pu’uwai tenor built in 2015 by Big Island luthier Woodley White. This uke is the total package with sound and looks.
Here’s the specs:
Pu’uwai ukuleles are built by Woodley White, past -President of the Big Island Ukulele Guild. This, highly figured master grade Koa is also tonally great and worth the upgrade. The uke has volume to spare and rates highly for rich and complex tones, paired with sustain, clarity, and projection. It’s loud, but loud in a sophisticated way, like a fine Classical guitar. But the sound is definitely a uke.
This is a gorgeous tenor, and is mint condition, essentially the way it left Woodley’s shop. While in mint condition there a couple small places where the gloss finish isn’t perfect (typical of a Pu'uwai). Woodley’s Pu'uwai ukes start at $2,500 without the higher grade Koa upgrade and inlay options.
