Hi all,

NO TAKERS, EVEN AT £275 SHIPPED ????, JUST PLAYED THIS ALONG SIDE AN 8 INCH POTTED ASHBURY AND THE LARGER DEERING GOODTIME BANJOLELE, AT HOBGOBLIN AND THE WEYMANN IS STILL NICER SOUNDING
ANYWAY THAT'S ALL ACADEMIC NOW, CLOSING THE POST NOW, BUT THANKS FOR THE INTEREST FROM THE MEMBERS THAT CONTACTED ME, AND GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR SEARCHES IN THE FUTURE..

I have a lovely refurbed Weymann banjolele, or banjo uke for sale, fitted a new goat skin a few weeks back, new set of tension hooks, and living water strings, it's a longer scale concert model, with a 7 inch drum/pot, Weymann slip off resonator, the pot, resonator and neck are made from maple, finger board is ebony, lined with what looks like ivory, given it's age ( 1920/1930 ish ) I would say ivory as it does have a distinctive grain, mother of pearl design on the ebony faced headstock and MOP fret markers, and small blackwood markers down the neck side, Brand new case, that fits like a glove, all in all in great condition plays great, any question just drop us a pm, Uk shipping £15 parcelforce 48, if the neck lining is ivory then it scuppers and international sale I think. £375 or best offer, I have an urgent need to sell as something has become available i really don't want to miss, so I will accept any decent offer around £300, which is a real bargain

more pictures on request, collection welcome also, I have put about £100 into refurb, hooks, new grover bridge, skin, case was £75, very sturdy pro case, and I paid £400 for the Weymann before I did the work, so a great price for an very playable 1920/1930 is Weymann.

More pics as requested, I have tried to show the grain of the Ivory binding, but I can't get close enough to show the grain, my father has two ebony elephants that he brought back from Kenya when he was serving there in the 60's and ironically the tusks are made of Ivory, it has yellowed similar to the binding on the Banjolele, but the grain looks much more random, any more pics just holla

cheers Mark,

and yes it's got to go, so I will take any reasonable offer

If anyone is interested or slightly interested let me know, I have a part ex price from Hobgoblin, which is low, but that's how it goes, so if you want it I can drop the price to just below £250, with the case and reburb at nearly £200,
that is a give away, £50 for a classic banjolele, and way better built than todays mass produced stuff, obviously if it's not anyones cup of tea, part ex it will have to be.......

cheers Mark

shameless bump, trading in on Sunday for a small parlour guitar, which I'll play more but don't really need, so last chance...........................:D

Hi all,

I've had a question regarding action, so just so all can see, the action can be adjusted by loosening the neck brace clamp piture 3 shows it with the screw removed, and the neck can be adjusted up
or down a small amount so that the neck sits inline, above or below the velum, also the Bridge can be lowered, which will lower the strings, but the playing action is fine as it is, hope that helps
