I subscribe to ukulele underground, but I feel like to get to the next level I need some live instruction, but there are no uke teachers in my town, so I'm considering an online instructor. I want someone whose main instrument is the uke, if possible, not just someone who can teach uke along with other stuff.

Any recommendations?

You could sound out Matt at https://theukulelemanofross.com

He is UK based but does teach students in the US via Skype.

Sarah Maisel and Craig Chee both teach on ArtistWorks:

I have not tried it yet but have heard some good things. It's not quite live but works through video exchange. I actually think that has some benefits.

I do FaceTime lessons with Sarah Maisel. She's superb. Very supportive and encouraging. Scheduling can be difficult, especially this time of year when they are touring. Chord melody, arranging, picking, theory: she does it all.

Matt Dahlberg at thejumpingflea.com if he has any openings, he was my teacher for 2 years, great guy and a great teacher and a Kanilea sponsored artist.
