Are songs that either of them have covered in the past alright?
"Even on a cloudy day, I'll keep my eyes fixed on the sun"

"But I heard voices, Not in the head, out in the air, they called to me. Through record speakers, through thick and thin, they found a shelter, beneath my skin"

Almost all of Johnny Cash songs are covers

Due to health reasons I haven't played fretted instruments for 5 months. I have been playing keyboards. I found a Johnny Cash song that I love to play on my antique pump organ (please no pump organ jokes ala Beevis and Butthead).
I'll do it on the ukulele but I still think it sounds best on the organ.

    Why not combine the two.

Yep, originals & covers, as long as they did them - I like to give you a decent choice.

I don't know how to multitrack a video.

I know we all want you to give the uke a chance (all we are saying... etc.) on the song, but either way, I would love to hear it on the pump organ... you could put it on the "Seasonistas Playing Other Instruments" thread and we'd hop over to enjoy it. ... or just wear the uke while you play the organ. Artistic license. ... looking forward to your song.

Sorry you have been having health problems John. Ask Keith if he will agree to the Thornton Rule this time. Hope to hear a vid from you this week.

I picked up the uke again this week (it's wonderful to be able to play it again) and have a video ready to post after Midnight Hawaiian time . I may do another one with the organ for the alt list.
