SOLD...THANKS TO UU AND TO ALL THAT RESPONDED
I'm considering selling my 1996 Kamaka 8-String Koa Tenor. Please let me know if you are interested. Mine has some honest playwear around the soundhole. The strum area that goes thru the finish to the wood is really just finish checking that has flaked away. There is finish checking throughout, but is mostly concentrated on the soundboard area. It has a flat fretboard and SMOOTH pearloid geared tuners. It is in overall good condition with few nicks or dings.

There are no cracks, seperations or repairs. The bridge is set firmly and the neck joint is
firm. When I put a straight edge on the neck the gap in the
center of the neck "8th fret" between the fret and edge is 1/2
mm. The action is 1/8 inch at the 12th fret.

NO CRACKS OR REPAIRS.

I currently do not have any way of providing a sound sample, but this one sounds great. I've played the heck out of this one and hate to see it go. There's something really cool about them. They almost have a bluegrassy, mandolin sound to them. It's all fun!

I no longer have that case. Apparently I had mistakenly
included that case shown in the pictures with another local sale. I've been selling a bunch of instruments and this case was inadvertently
mismatched. I'm really upset about that, however, I do not have a case
to go with this uke at this time.
I will double box for shipment and I
have a bunch of experience doing so.

I had just retired and need to sell a lot of my stuff in preparation for a move to a smaller house.

Thanks for your time!

Price Reduced to $625.00 shipped. PAYPAL Friends and Family. ...US Only

Price Reduced to $675.00 shipped. PAYPAL Friends and Family.

This is a great price on a classic uke from a classic period. Kamaka invented the 8-string tenor! If I were still an 8-string player, I'd be all over this. Good luck with the retirement, Warndt.

still interested, just have alot of bills right now. I have my eye on it if still available in a little while!

Price lowered to 625.00 delivered since I do not have the original lined cardboard case.

I remember reading somewhere on UU that Mim's Ukes sells an affordable case that will fit the headstock of this cool Kamaka very nicely. I can't find that post by Mim, so you may contact her at the following.
mim@mimsukes.com

The total length of this Kamaka tenor-8 string uke is just short of 28" long, so this case may also work out too:
https://www.amazon.com/Rockcase-Ten...?srs=9179197011&ie=UTF8&qid=1503704457&sr=8-3

Thanks again for looking!
My Lanikai 8 is 27 3/4 inches long and it fits [barely] in my Protec Max case. The polyfoam cases are a little more forgiving.

Getting used to new camera...better pics. I believe the neck and fret-board are both koa.

Somebody get this uke, now. That is a great price. My spouse has one of these, and it sounds better than any other 8 string tenor around here! She put a set of Worth Clears on it and wow! It does have a mandolin like quality in tone. We use it on pieces like Scarborough Fair, it really enhances the music.
A tenor size Uke Crazy hard foam case fits it perfectly.
And it's a Kamaka folks!
