Original song, We are but Family, on an Alida electric ukulele.

Here's a new Original song, well Its really a reworking of an old Original song played on an Alida electric ukulele which a few of us from UU group bought a few years ago.

This is my first recording with this uke although I've been playing it for a while now after adjusting the nut and the bridge.



A new recording setup for me using a Behringer X 18 digital mixer as the computers interface and a Fender Mustang Floor unit is the "amplifier". The amplifier patch is based on a Fender 65 Princeton amp.

First time I'm hearing the Alida on a recording, sounds good. (I just ran into Greenie who also got one in our group buy, interesting timing.) Such a nice sentiment in the song. With your playing style, do you tune the Alida differently?

Thanks Mike. Its tuned E,A,C#,F# (down 3 semitones) which is MY standard tuning on a tenor. Even though the Alida is 16" rater than 17" its holding the tuning well. I'm using the middle pickup position which is wired for a nice funky out of phase sound.
